Pakistan’s Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said on Tuesday that foreigners residing illegally in Pakistan have been given a deadline of November 1 to leave the country.
While holding a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti announced that ‘by November 1, they (illegal foreigners) should voluntarily go to their respective countries or else they will be deported.’
Sarfaraz Bugti said that this decision has been taken in the Apex Committee meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar.
He further said that if the people living illegally in Pakistan do not go to their country by November 1, all our law enforcement agencies will deport them.
He said that in the meeting of the Apex Committee, it has also been decided that from November 1, no person, resident of any country, will enter our country without passport and visa.
The caretaker interior minister further explained in this regard that “from October 10 to October 31, there will be e-tazkira for Afghan citizens and paper tazkira will not work.”
For the past few days, the news is hot in Pakistan that the government has started a major operation against unregistered Afghan refugees and arrests are also going on.
Haji Abdullah Bukhari, the leader of Afghan Refugee Council of Pakistan, an organization that works for Afghan refugees, claimed in a conversation with Independent Urdu last week that from September 9 to 19, the police in Pakistan killed more than 4,000 Afghans. Out of which 2800 were released due to the presence of legal documents while 1200 were sent to jail.
In this regard, the Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Safran, Pervez Ahmed Janjua, while talking to journalists at an event in Islamabad on Wednesday, September 27, said that ‘Afghans involved in criminal activities will be sent back in the first phase and this work should be done quickly. will.’
Regarding other decisions to be taken in the Apex Committee chaired by caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, the caretaker interior minister said that an operation will start from November 1, for which a task force has been formed in the Ministry of Interior. So that all the illegal properties of people who are living here illegally and have built illegal properties and illegal businesses are not in our tax net or those businesses that are owned by illegal citizens but are running in the country with Pakistanis. . Our law enforcement agencies will find them and we will seize these businesses and properties for the government.”
