Interim Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani engaged in discussions with his Afghan counterpart, Amir Khan Muttaqi, during a meeting held in Tibet. The talks primarily focused on addressing the regional challenges affecting peace and stability.

FM Jilani’s visit to China spans two days, during which he is participating in the third Trans-Himalayan Forum for International Cooperation, taking place in Nyingchi, Tibet autonomous region, from October 4-5.

Established in 2018, the Trans-Himalaya Forum serves as a platform for regional nations to collaborate on various fronts, including geographical connectivity, environmental conservation, ecological preservation, and the strengthening of cultural ties.

According to a statement from the Foreign Office, Jilani reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations with Afghanistan during his meeting with Afghan Foreign Minister Muttaqi.
