During the India World Cup 2023 match between Pakistan and Australia, a video gained significant attention as it depicts a police officer preventing a Pakistani fan from chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” in the stadium.
The video captures the police officer’s request for the fan to instead say “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” a slogan commonly used to express patriotism and admiration for India. Although the fan complies and says “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” he is interrupted by he repeats “Pakistan Zindabad” by the police officer and another stadium official.
It's shocking and upsetting to see that people are being stopped from cheering "Pakistan Zindabad" at the game.
