Anup Ghoshal, Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi Singer, Passes Away At 77

India: Veteran singer and composer Anup Ghoshal passed away on Friday, December 15. He was 77 years old. As reported by PTI, Anup was hospitalized for the past few days in south Kolkata due to age-related ailments. However, he breathed his last on Friday due to multiple organ failure.

Anup Ghoshal was popularly known for the evergreen song Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi from the 1983 film Masoom. Some of his other popular songs were – Husn Bhi Aap Hain, Ishq Bhi Aap Hain, and Tum Saath Ho Zindagi Bhar Ke Liye from Sheeshe Ka Ghar. Anup was also associated with Satyajit Ray’s Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne, Hirak Rajar Deshe, Goopy Bagha Phirey Elo, Phuleswari, and Nimantran among others.

After his successful career in the music industry, Anup also entered politics. He contested the 2011 assembly polls from Uttarpara seat in West Bengal from the Trinamool Congress ticket.

Anup Ghoshal is survived by two daughters.
