SCO Summit | PM Sharif Welcomes World Leaders as they Arrive at the Convention Center
Islamabad: The 23rd Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has started at the Jinnah Convention Center as world leaders and delegates arrive at the convention center.
SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming arrived at the Jinnah Convention Center followed by the Iranian Minister of Industry Mohammad Atabak Noor, Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, Premier of Belarus Roman Alexandrovich Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda.

Also, arriving at the Convention Center for the SCO Summit is Kazakhstan’s Premier Oljas Bektenov, Chairman of Kyrgyzstan Cabinet Akylbek Japarov, Russian Premier Mikhail Mishustin, Chinese PM Li Qiang and Uzbek PM Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov.
As a representative of the host-country, Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif accompanied by Deputy Premier Ishaq Dar welcomed the foreign Heads of State on their arrival at the convention center. After welcoming the delegates who had reached the summit venue, a group photo session was held.

The Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad says that complete routes will be laid in connection with the SCO conference, which will continue till the departure of the guests. According to the plan issued by Islamabad Traffic Police, complete routes are being laid. Citizens are requested to avoid traveling around Srinagar Highway, Express Highway, Sarina Chowk, Red Zone and Convention Center to avoid any travel problems.
