International Day for Tolerance is being observed today.

The theme of the day is “Tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world’s cultures, our forms of expression and ways of being human.”

In her message in International Day for Tolerance, Punjab Chief Minister Maryum Nawaz said tolerance and respect is the base of a successful and peaceful society.

She said this world is a mixture of beliefs, cultures and philosophies and all should be respected. She said that tolerance and harmony is being promoted as per the Quaid-e-Azam’s vision.

She urged educational institutions to teach principles of tolerance, respect and love to the young generation.
