President, PM pledge to root out menace of corruption
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have reiterated government’s firm commitment to root out menace of corruption at every level.
In their separate messages on the occasion of international Anti-Corruption Day being observed on Monday, they said the day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility of all nations to fight corruption, promote transparency, and uphold accountability.
President Asif Ali Zardari said corruption undermines public trust, drains vital resources, and hampers socio-economic development.
He said today, Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to eradicate corruption by enforcing strict accountability measures and promoting transparency in governance.
In his message, the Prime Minister said corruption is a corrosive element that undermines economic development and destroys the social fabric of societies.
He said our younger generation deserves a future where they can thrive free from corruption.
Shehbaz Sharif urged all Pakistanis to play their role in the quest for a corruption-free future and reaffirmed resolve to build a Pakistan where public resources are utilized efficiently for the welfare of the people.
