The purpose of establishing Baaghi TV was to fight against corruption, ignorance, oppression and abuse rampant in society by raising our voice by presenting them on an appropriate forum to eliminate these evils, which is how Baaghi TV operates and will always. Baaghi TV continues its struggle against these evils, however, to date it has played its full role in promoting truth, helping the oppressed and eradicating ignorance from the world, efforts which are also recognized by the world.

During these twelve years, “Baaghi TV” has worked to highlight other important issues in the society although it has had to stand up against government officials and institutions taking action on many of our reports.

As a leading Pakistani digital news network, Baaghi TV broadcasts in five languages: Urdu, English, Pashto, Dari, and Chinese. Baaghi TV’s YouTube channel is popular all over the world. Every year, during Ramadan, Taraweeh prayers are broadcast live from the historic Badshahi Mosque in Lahore on Baaghi TV YouTube channel. Despite threats from the government for covering the Tehreek-e-Labbaik protests, Baaghi TV’s team has continued its coverage due to which the government has not only deleted the videos of Tehreek-e-Labbaik’s coverage from Baaghi TV’s YouTube but also had Baaghi TV’s X (formerly Twitter) blue tick removed.

In keeping with the name Baaghi TV [literally meaning “rebel with a cause”], our team have repeatedly raised the flag of rebellion against oppression and injustice in the society. Baaghi TV is always ready to respond to every finger raised toward the state of Pakistan in the field of journalism. This is why Baaghi TV has been repeatedly targeted by the Modi government, who have tried on occasion to get Baaghi TV’s X (Twitter) account suspended, and dozens of unsuccessful attempts have been made by hackers under the influence of the Modi government to hack Baaghi TV’s website.
