After leading India to a six-wicket win against Pakistan during Sunday’s clash in the ongoing Champions Trophy tournament, former Indian skipper Virat Kohli celebrated by presumably calling his family, including his wife, Anushka Sharma. The cricketer, who scored his 51st ODI century against Pakistan, was seen on a video call after the match. Fans of Kohli shared his pictures from the cricket ground and suggested that he was talking to Anushka and his two children, Vamika and Akaay.
Moments after scoring a boundary that sealed India’s win, Kohli also kissed his wedding ring, which he wears on a chain around his neck. The cricketer also gave a thumbs-up to the camera, which seemed to be directed at his actor-wife, Anushka.
Anushka shared the same photo on her Instagram story andcelebrated Kohli’s century and India’s victory. The actor, who often accompanies Kohli on his cricketing tours, couldn’t attend the India vs Pakistan clash as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had taken strict steps to limit family time on tours after disastrous results against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25.
However, India Today later learnt that Indian cricketers are allowed to take their families to only one match in the Champions Trophy 2025.
