UN chief, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, calls for ‘maximum military restraint from both countries’ after India’s attack on Pakistan during the night.
Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, has released the following statement: “The secretary-general is very concerned about the Indian military operations across the Line of Control and international border”.

The statement further read: “He calls for maximum military restraint from both countries. The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan.”
Meanwhile, FM Ishaq Dar has denounced India’s attacks as a “flagrant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty”.
“It has jeopardized regional peace,” the foreign minister wrote on X, adding that the country would defend its “sovereignty & territorial integrity by all means”.

“Pakistan strongly condemns India’s aggression, which is flagrant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, the UN Charter & international law. It has jeopardized regional peace. Pakistan reserves the right to respond as per Article 51 of the UN Charter”, the statement added.
On the other hand, a state of emergency has been imposed across Punjab and in areas surrounding the Karachi Airport.
Following the unprovoked attack by India after midnight, the Pakistan Armed Forces have retaliated with a befitting response targeting several Indian military facilities and destroying checkout along the LoC.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has called the Indian strikes in Pakistan, Kashmir a ‘shame’.
