A major diplomatic development has come to light after the Indian missile attacks on Pakistani cities and Pakistani retaliation. Pakistan’s National Security Advisor General Asim Malik and US Secretary of State Mark Rubio had a detailed telephone conversation.

According to sources, this contact took place when India launched missile attacks on Pakistani cities in which eight civilians were martyred. India also targeted mosques. Pakistan retaliated and shot down three Indian aircraft, aggressive operations are ongoing on the Line of Control by India, in which not only the civilian population was targeted but also ceasefire violations were committed at several places. In the telephone conversation, the two leaders discussed in detail the security of the region, rising tensions and possible war threats. General Asim Malik, while presenting Pakistan’s position in clear terms, said that “Pakistan is a peaceful country but will not compromise on its sovereignty and integrity. If it comes to our defense, we are ready to go to any extent.” He informed the US Secretary of State that Indian provocations are not only a threat to regional peace but are also a blatant violation of international law.
US Secretary of State Mark Rubio urged all parties to exercise restraint and reduce tensions and said that the US wants peace and stability in the region.
