Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore on Sunday.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, and Senator Saleem Mandviwalla were also at the meeting.
During the discussions, views were exchanged on the country’s political and security situation.
The meeting also included a discussion on the Prime Minister’s recent visits to friendly nations.
Besides, cooperation among political allies was discussed.
The President emphasized that the government should introduce measures in the upcoming budget to provide relief and welfare for the common people.
He further stressed the need for political allies to work together in the national interest.
