While over 850 million Indians depend on monthly ration bags to survive, the Modi regime continues to prioritise militarism, signing 13 emergency defense contracts worth INR 1,981.9 crore, according to an official statement.
The procurement includes a wide range of modern and mission-critical equipment such as Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction Systems, Low-Level Lightweight Radars, Very Short Range Air Defence Systems, and Remotely Piloted Aerial Vehicles.
The Indian Army will also be equipped with Loitering Munitions—including Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) variants—various categories of drones, Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicles, Night Sights for Rifles, Bulletproof Jackets, and Ballistic Helmets.
