A case of theft has come to light at Bollywood actor Sangeeta Bijlani’s farmhouse in Maval, Pune district, a senior police official confirmed on Friday.
The incident was discovered when Bijlani visited her farmhouse, located in Tikona village near Pawna Dam, after a gap of four months. According to her statement to the Pune Rural Police, the property had been broken into and left in a state of complete disarray.
Bijlani alleged that the main door and window grills had been forced open. A television set was reported missing, while another was found damaged. Several household items, including beds, a refrigerator and CCTV equipment, were either stolen or vandalised, she noted in her formal complaint.
in a written application addressed to the Pune Rural Superintendent of Police, the actor explained she had not been able to check on the property due to her father’s ill health.
“Today I visited the farmhouse along with two of my maid servants. Upon arrival, I was shocked and horrified to discover that the main door had been broken. Upon entering, I found the window grills were damaged, one television set was missing while another was broken,” she stated in her complaint.
Bijlani further revealed that the upper floor had been completely ransacked, with all beds destroyed and various other valuables either missing or damaged.
