US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that the US had struck a deal with Pakistan to develop “massive oil reserves”, further hinting at exports of the same to India. This comes after Trump slapped 25% tariff rates on India and warned of additional penalties for the country’s continued trade with Russia for arms and crude oil.
“We have just concluded a Deal with the Country of Pakistan, whereby Pakistan and the United States will work together on developing their massive Oil Reserves,” he said in a post on TruthSocial.
“We are in the process of choosing the Oil Company that will lead this Partnership. Who knows, maybe they’ll be selling Oil to India some day!” he added.
