ISLAMABAD – August 21, 2025: Independent Senator Faisal Vawda has launched a strong critique of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, calling them “hypocritical and compromised,” while stressing that no one is above the Constitution and law.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Vawda alleged that PTI itself was responsible for keeping its founder behind bars, while demanding that Ali Amin Gandapur be released. He also criticized what he termed a “dangerous game” involving the children of the PTI founder.

Commenting on the broader situation, Vawda said that the crisis in Karachi mirrors the challenges faced by the entire country. He further remarked that the nation is now looking towards a field marshal who once won a war with limited resources and boosted the army’s morale, hinting at the need for strong leadership in testing times.

Vawda’s statements come amid heightened political tensions, with PTI leaders facing legal battles and the government under pressure to manage both governance and public discontent.
