Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab says there is extremely high flood level in Ravi river at Head Sidhnai and upstream is one hundred sixty-eight cusec.

Director General PDMA Punjab has said controlled breaching has been carried out at Head Sidhnai to safeguard major urban centers and critical infrastructure.

He said that two breaches were made at Mai Safforan bund to prevent large-scale damage.

Meanwhile, water level in Chenab river is continuously rising and at Head Marala, it was recorded three hundred and eighty-four thousand cusec.

In a statement today, PDMA Spokesperson said at Khanki, water level is two hundred ninety-seven thousand, and at Qadirabad two hundred and thirteen thousand cusecs.

The water level at Head Muhammad Wala is recorded four hundred and eleven thousand cusecs.

Meanwhile, rescue and relief activities are in progress in Burewala, Vahari, Mailsi, Lodhran Kehror Pacca and Jalal Pur Pirwala in South Punjab where high level flood in Sutlej river has affected huge population of the area.
