The 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 are gearing up for a spectacular celebration marking seven decades of honouring cinematic excellence. This year’s ceremony promises to be grander than ever, with dazzling performances, a star-studded guest list, and the return of some familiar faces to the Filmfare stage.

The Filmfare Awards have long been known for their witty hosts and dazzling celebrity performances. This year’s edition is set to be no different — and may even surpass expectations — as the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, returns to the stage as host after 17 years.

The last time Shah Rukh entertained audiences with his signature humour was at the 53rd Filmfare Awards in 2008. Over the years, SRK has hosted the ceremony several times — co-hosting with Saif Ali Khan in 2003 and 2004, and with Karan Johar in 2007. In 2008, his final stint as host featured co-hosts Vidya Balan, Saif Ali Khan, and Karan Johar.

Now, the 70th edition of the prestigious awards will see the return of the beloved duo of Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, joined by Maniesh Paul, a seasoned host well known for his award-show charisma. Fans can look forward to high-energy performances by stars such as Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, Abhishek Bachchan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Kriti Sanon. According to Filmfare, audiences can also expect surprise performances from other leading Bollywood celebrities.
