The thirty-first death anniversary of legendary TV, Radio anchor, columnist, author and actor Dildar Pervaiz Bhatti is being observed today.

Born in Gujranwala on November 30, 1948, Dildar Pervez Bhutt joined the Government College Lahore as Lecturer of English.

He joined Radio Pakistan in the early 70s and hosted a program ‘Sohni Dharti’. He also hosted PTV programs ‘Mela’, ‘Yadish Bakhair’ and ‘Panjnad’ which gave him huge fame and respect worldwide.

Dildar Pervez Bhatti also authored books which include ‘Dildaris’, ‘Aamna Saamna’ and ‘Dilbar Dilbar’.

He died on this day in 1994 in New York due to brain hemorrhage.
