The fiftieth death anniversary of renowned film lyricist and poet Mushir Kazmi is being observed today.

Born in 1915 in Banwar, Ambala district of India, Mushir Kazmi began his film career with the movie Dupatta.

During the 1965 Pakistan-India war his patriotic song ‘Ae Rah Haq Ke Shaheedoo’ gained immense popularity.

Mushir Kazmi passed away on this day in 1975 in Lahore.
