Mardan, 18th March: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, today the first confirmed death due to the coronavirus is reported in the Mardan district.
It has been reported by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, that a person named Saadat Khan, aged 50 has died today due to COVID-19 at MMC hospital.
According to the sources, Saadat Khan had recently returned from the Saudi Kingdom on the 9th of March 2020. He was diagnosed with the coronavirus and tested positive. His condition worsened after being hospitalized and he breathed his last today.
This is the first confirmed case reported in Pakistan of a patient who has died suffering from the coronavirus.
The toll in Pakistan has reached 300 now, more than 184 cases from Sindh, 27 from Punjab, 16 from KP, 16 from Balochistan, 4 from Islamabad, 3 from Gilgit-Baltistan and 1 from IJK have been reported so far.
