COVID-19: Police official diagnosed with the novel virus

Fear rises as another police official has reportedly been diagnosed with the Coronavirus. 

According to reports of Baaghi TV, police constable on duty in Rawalpindi’s Rawat station has reportedly been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive.

Resident of Gujar Khan, constable Kashif Nawaz and his family have been tested positive for the virus. Nawaz and his family have been placed in a quarantine center and are currently undergoing treatment at RIU. Reportedly, the constable lived in the police lines area and was stationed at PTS Rawat.

Concern over the health and conditions of other policemen have escalated following Nawaz’s diagnoses of the Corona virus. Sources say it is being feared that Kashif Nawaz’s duty was at PTS Rawat and police line Rawalpindi, as a result of which, countless other policemen may be suffering from the novel virus.

Police personnel have appealed to IG Punjab to conduct tests on police line and police personnel stationed at PTS Rawat.
