OIC should take immediate steps to save the lives of people in IOK: Shahbaz Sharif

PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif has said that he salutes the courage and great sacrifices of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmiris have been fighting Indian tyranny for more than seven decades with their iron will. Illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is an open challenge to the United Nations, the Security Council, and international law until the people of Occupied Kashmir get their democratic and legal rights

Shahbaz Sharif said that from August 5, 2019, a new horrible era of Modi’s barbarism and tyranny began. Lockdown, communication blackout, and other inhumane and blatant violations of international law are continuing in the occupied valley.

On the one hand, the occupying Indian forces are intensifying their atrocities, on the other hand, the Kashmiris are facing serious threats of Corona epidemic. More than a dozen corona victims have been confirmed in the valley.

A list of more than 66,000 people suspected of being infected with corona has been compiled. The Indian government has made Corona a weapon of the genocide of Kashmiris. The Leader of the Opposition said that I also urge the OIC General Secretary Yousuf bin Ahmed Al-Uthaymeen to take immediate steps to protect the lives of the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

I appeal to all these leaders to pass Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir. Raise your voice for implementation, sending a commission of inquiry into Occupied Kashmir, ending lockdowns, and communication blackouts. Play a special role in rescuing the people of Occupied Kashmir from the Corona epidemic and providing them with medicines and other necessities. Occupied Kashmir is cut off from the outside world due to communication restrictions.”

Shahbaz Sharif further said that the people are facing severe difficulties due to non-provision of information to them in the Corona epidemic.

Pakistan and Kashmir are a matter of soul and breath. Quaid-e-Azam held Kashmir and Pakistan as one entity. We will spare no effort to interpret this dialect of Quaid-e-Azam. Every citizen of Pakistan was, is and will be with the Kashmiris in their struggle for independence.
