Lahore, 4th May: Will the leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, appear before NAB today, despite the prevalence of the coronavirus pandemic?

According to reports of Baaghi TV, PML-N spokesperson, Maryam Aurangzeb has confirmed that Shahbaz Sharif will appear before the NAB today at 12 noon.

However, according to Maryam Aurangzeb, he could not appear before the NAB in the previous hearing due to his doctor’s advice not to go out during the pandemic and his low immunity. All the required documents were attached to the application last time.

As per reports, in the case of assets in excess of income and money laundering, NAB has directed the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif to appear in the National Assembly at 12 noon with the required documents.

The NAB has asked Shahbaz Sharif to co-operate with the national body in the ongoing investigation against him.

It should be noted that NAB had summoned Shahbaz Sharif on April 22. He did not appear before NAB but his application was sent. NAB team has expressed dissatisfaction over the incomplete reply sent by Shahbaz Sharif.

Shahbaz Sharif makes an appeal on returning home

The NAB has also sent a questionnaire to Shahbaz Sharif stating that between 1998 and 2018, the family’s assets increased to Rs 549 billion. NAB has demanded an explanation from Shahbaz Sharif and to further provide details of assets and bank accounts available abroad. He is further demanded to provide details of loans taken from 2005 to 2007, provide details of all allowances given and received by the family, and details of agricultural income during the year 2008 to 2019.
