Lahore, 10th May: With the declining economic situation in the country, the price of flour has increased yet again making it difficult for the poor to make both ends meet.
According to reports, Pakistan Flour Mills Association has announced an increase in the price of flour.
Chairman Pakistan Flour Mills Association Punjab Zone Abdul Rauf Mukhtar has said that the price of a 20 kg bag of flour has been increased by Rs 35 after which a 20 kg bag of flour will increase from Rs 805 to Rs 840.
The new flour price will take effect on Monday. He said that the price of flour was being increased due to the high price of wheat and at present the price of wheat in the open market was Rs. 1450 per quintal.
It may be recalled that the price of flour had gone up to Rs 70 per kg in recent days due to the wheat crisis in the country.
