Srinagar,19th May: Junaid Sehrai the brave Commander and son of Tahreeki Hurriyat chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has received around dozen bullets on his chest and embraced martyrdom.

According to Baaghi TV, protests have started in Kashmir over the martyrdom of six senior commanders, including the martyrdom of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Junaid Sehrai.

Explaining the reasons for Junaid Sehrai’s martyrdom, the sources said that the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the operation late on Monday night after receiving technical information about the presence of militants in the area.

A senior source said that Junaid Sehrai’s phone was used by the security agencies to track him down. According to South Asian Wire, he said that he was traced in Kungan two weeks ago where he came with two militants. He used their mobile hotspot. He escaped when the siege and search began. On Monday, Junaid was in Srinagar for a meeting.

Shortly before 2 a.m., a cordon and search operation was conducted. A grenade was hurled at the security forces as they approached the area around 3am, confirming the connection. According to South Asian Wire, in the Andheri area, Jammu and Kashmir police followed the SOP, and Mobile internet and voice calls were suspended. In the morning, both militants were shot dead.

With Junaid’s martyrdom, security forces have eliminated all six top commanders of militant organizations in the valley.

Sources said that according to the new SOP of the security forces, Junaid’s body would not be given to the family both bodies will be buried in Baramulla.

Massive anti-India protests erupted in various parts of the country, including Srinagar, over the martyrdom of Junaid Sehrai, and his comrades by Indian troops. According to Al-Qamar Online, as soon as the news on Junaid’s martyrdom came out, Kashmiris raised slogans against India and in favor of independence.

Indian troops fired tear gas and shells at protesters, injuring several. Protesters hurled stones at Indian forces in response. Clashes between Indian forces and protesters continued until the latest reports. Occupying authorities suspended mobile internet service in Srinagar and other areas to quell protests.
