France has recorded 70 new cases of COVID-19 in schools that were allowed to reopen last week, the country’s education minister said on Monday.

Baaghi TV reports that parents were horrified after 70 students were diagnosed with coronavirus on the first day of school in France.

Seven schools have been closed in the northern French city of Rube after a child was diagnosed with the coronavirus. Authorities say they will notify families who have been in contact with the child. Schools will continue their teaching activities online.

Schools reopened in France last week as lockdown eased, but many expressed reservations. In a poll, 69 percent said the authorities could not keep them safe. Many other schools are also closed due to the victims.

French Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer told the French broadcaster RTL that 70 cases of the coronavirus had been reported in about 40,000 schools. All the affected schools have been closed, which shows how hard the authorities are working to protect the public.

However, he also said that not having children can have serious consequences. The Minister said that our children should not suffer from health measures.

On the other hand, three members of a Pakistani family living in France died of coronavirus. The deceased Riaz belonged to Gujrat while Riaz’s wife and daughter also died three weeks ago on Wednesday night. Riaz’s daughter is undergoing treatment in the hospital while his daughter-in-law has recovered from Corona.
