PIA Plane crash: Civil Aviation prepares runway inspection report
Karachi, 23rd May: Civil aviation has prepared the runway inspection report regarding yesterday’s unfortunate PIA plane crash in Karachi.
According to a private TV channel, the initial report said that the captain tried to land the plane twice. The plane’s landing gears weNT off while the pilot tried to land on the runway, so he made an emergency landing to the ATC. The pilot could not report about the landing on time, the left engine of the plane touched 4500 feet on the runway, and the right engine touched the ground 5500 feet away.
According to the report, there are marks of both engines on the runway at 6,000 to 7,000 feet. The plane did not touch the runway, which caused the captain to take off again. The runway at Karachi Airport is 9,000 to 10,000 feet long. The pilot had to land his plane in the residential area.

The plane was at a 15-nautical-mile approach point. Before crashing, the control tower told the captain, “Your attitude is too high. Reduce it.” Normally, there should be a landing approach at 5,000, but the plane was at 10,000 feet.
According to the report, the captain informed the control tower that he would manage his speed. When the plane landed at an altitude of 7,000 feet, the control tower snapped at the captain again. The captain touched the runway with the belly and then took the plane towards the ground.
The captain started giving Mayday calls and said that the engine of the plane has stopped. When the plane reached 1200 feet, the landing gear was not down. By decoding the black box the conversation between the captain and air control will help.
It is to be noted that the special flight PK 8303 from Lahore to Karachi crashed one minute before reaching the destination. The PIA plane Airbus A320 crashed in the residential area near Karachi Airport.
