This is not the national but the IMF budget, says Senator Sherry Rehman, and we reject it. According to reports the second big opposition party has also rejected the tax-free budget.
This is not a national #budget for a country facing a crisis. It squandered a huge opportunity to change priorities, like diverting resources to health as % of GDP, but it instead cut money for provinces who run social spending. It’s just an accounting exercise led by IMF.

According to Baaghi TV, Sherry Rehman tweeted that this is not the national budget because the IMF has participated in its drawing up.
Sherry Rehman also said that it was the need of the hour that a hefty amount be budgeted for the health sector but this is not so, and therefore she rejects it.
