Baaghi TV: Families of the martyrs of Model Town massacre and Pakistan Awami Tehreek will witness its 6th anniversary on 17th June, still waiting for justice. For six years they have repeatedly asked for an unbiased investigation of the incident. A second JIT (Joint Investigation Team) was formulated for investigating the incident on the orders of the Supreme Court and it was led by AD Khawaja. However, the Lahore High Court suspended the JIT and stopped it from working, hence administering a jarring reverse gear to the process of justice.
Central Secretary Information for PAT, Noorullah Siddiqui said that the media has always stood by the families of the victims and he hopes that this time on the 6th anniversary also, it will become the voice of those deprived of justice to this day. He said he hopes that the media will raise the question of why has justice still not come for a massacre that was telecast on live television.
