Politics in Pakistan During Last Year

Political activities in Pakistan have been under destruction since the birth of Pakistan. No system could sustain and flourish in this country either democracy or dictatorship.

Pakistan is the only state after Madinah, found on Islamic Ideology. The founding fathers of the nation put the foundation of this newly emerging state on the strong base of ideological differences between Muslims and Hindus of sub continent. But unfortunately, we as a nation could never find such a great leader after Muhammad Ali Jinnah who could lead from the front to achieve the set goal to make Pakistan a welfare state. We can find Pakistan passing through different political experiences during the past seventy two years. This poor condition of political system is a big obstacle in our way to progress. We can find examples of some other nations who got their freedom after us but in the journey of nation building and progress they have surpassed us.

During the past five year reign of PMLN government many development projects were completed. The power sector crisis was overcome to a great deal, completion of Metro Bus Service and Orange Train projects were a few important achievements of this government.

Many security concerns raised in this era and caused controversy in the country. In the last months of previous government Mian Muhammad Nawaz Shareef was disqualified on the basis of an Iqama and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi took oath as Prime Minister.

A year earlier, PTI, the party which settled its government after winning general election 2018, emerged with new plans. The very first of its strategy seems to eliminate corruption from the system and assure merit system in all the walks of life. In this respect Nawaz and Zardari were charged for corruption and sent to jail. It can be predicted that all the corrupt people will have to face a strict trial.

Yesterday Prime Minister returned back from his visit to USA. The talks with Donald Trump brings many benefits for Pakistan hence this visit can be taken as a successful visit. In order to develop business with Pakistan, Trump determines to produce mutual understanding and good relationship. He also hinted upon working to settle Kashmir dispute between Pakistan and India. Trump also shows trust to this new government.

Today, as the government completes its one year, the opposition calls for a black day to be observed. The government was successful to shatter the attempts of opposition by dividing them into groups. There is a report that Moulana Fazal Ur Rahman of JUI-F has announced not to join joint procession of the opposition but he plans to arrange metering of his party separately.
