Fawad Chaudhry ,Pervaiz Elahi face to face on the construction of a temple in Islamabad
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has strongly criticized the statement of PML-Q leader and Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi regarding the temple in Islamabad.
It may be recalled that the foundation stone of the temple has been laid in Sector H-9 of Islamabad recently, the land of which was allotted during the previous regime.
In this regard, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in a video statement criticized the construction of the temple and said that the construction of the temple in Islamabad is an insult to the state of Madinah and against the spirit of Islam.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi says that we are with the rights of minorities, the existing temples should be repaired.
Reacting to the statement of the Speaker Punjab Assembly in a tweet, Fawad Chaudhry said that he was shocked by this ‘conservative’ thinking of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
Fawad Chaudhry wrote sarcastically that “thank God that American and European leaders do not think like Modi and Pervez Elahi and allow Muslims to build mosques and worship.”
He said that Pervaiz Elahi and like-minded people should study the Charter of Madina.
The Federal Minister for Science and Technology further said that tolerance is the basic principle of Islam.
