Friday, July 3rd: NAB seeks 4 weeks to file supplementary reference in LNG case, reports Baaghi TV. Accountability Court Judge Azam Khan heard the LNG reference. The investigating officer said that some new records have been found which are being reviewed.

The preparation of the supplementary reference is in the final stages. It will take three to four weeks to complete the reference.

The judge of the accountability court said that the indictment will be filed only when the supplementary reference comes. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s lawyer said that for two years the NAB kept asking us various questions, despite being in jail for six and a half months, the reference was not filed. What can be done, such a spectacle should not be made with us, until the NAB files a reference, the hearing should be adjourned,

The lawyer said that we appear in the court but no action is being taken. The NAB prosecutor said that the presence of the accused has been completed today as far as the supplementary reference is concerned. If the court wants to charge the accused, the NAB has no objection.

Judge Azam Khan said that this is the last deadline for filing a supplementary reference. The court gave NAB a deadline of August 6 to file a supplementary reference. The accountability court directed the NAB to complete the investigation against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
