Lahore, 8th July: Jamia Mehmudia Taunsa Sharif Chief expresses concern over unethical and illegal actions of the Awqaf Department and blames CM Punjab Usman Buzdar.
Khawaja Muhammad Nasar the chief of Jamia is the elder brother of Khawaja Nizam who had defeated the now CM Punjab in 2013 elections.

Jamia is a trust and is under control of Awqaf and there is no such precedence where Awqaf has taken control of the facility and released the prevailing management. Khawaja Muhammad Nasar mentioned that they were managing the facility for over 95 years. A false case was made against management and embezzlement of funds.
According to Khawaja Nasar due to Usman Buzdar’s contact with then, CM Shahbaz Sharif, he had influence the establishment and civil administration to create the false case and pressurize the Jamia management. The investigation in the matter proved that the claims were wrong and cleared all charges and the case was dismissed.

Now again Usman Buzdar has influenced the civil administration and in s short span of three to four surveys of the Jamia and the two adjacent darbars have been conducted despite the fact that there is no complaint or evidence proving Khawaja’s claim to be wrong.
Unprecedentedly in three days period, the Awqaf department has taken out the name of the Khawaja Muhammad Nasar from Jamia’s administration and put in the chief administrator Awqaf instead.

Lucman suggested that the record should be sent in NAB so that they can help undo the wrong act and take notice of the corrupt actions.
A plea was made by Khawaja Nasar to the government that they should take notice and reverse the decision taken by Awqaf which is rejected by the local population. The media campaign against this action is evidence of public resentment.
