Friday, July 10th: The United States has taken strong action against the Chinese authorities. The United States has announced sanctions against Chinese politicians accused of human rights abuses against Muslim minorities in Xinjiang province.

There are allegations of forced sterilization. China, on the other hand, has denied any wrongdoing against Muslims in its province.

The Trump administration has imposed sanctions on four top officials. Top Chinese officials against whom sanctions have been imposed include Shen Kwanguo, a member of China’s powerful Politburo, Zuhelm, a former assistant secretary of the region’s party, Xinjiang’s director of public security and Wang Mingshun, secretary of the Communist Party, former party Secretary Holly June.

Shen Kwanguo is considered Beijing’s policymaker against minorities and is the highest-ranking Chinese official to ever face US sanctions. Financial dealings with all of these figures have become a crime in the United States since the sanctions. Their assets in the United States will be frozen.

It should be noted that news has been circulating in China for a long time about the forced detention of Uyghur Muslims and keeping them away from Islamic values. China has not given a satisfactory answer to Uyghur Muslims before. At the UN forum, China has finally admitted that it has forcibly detained more than one million Uighur Muslims in the Xinjiang region in various brainwashing centers. The vice governor also acknowledged this. Are these Uyghur Muslims also being kept away from religious scholars so that they can stay away from the influence of these religious leaders?
