ISLAMABD, July 15 (Online): Minister for religious affairs Pir Noor ul Haq Qadri has said minus one in the presence of Imran Khan will lead to minus all.
“In the presence of Imran Khan minus one will turn into minus all because PIT voters and parliamentarian will not accept any one this way. It seems difficult to say how the house will run when the majority party stands expelled”, he said this in an interview with a foreign website.
Terming the debate on elected and non- elected among the ministers unnecessary he said there is no need to step in this debate in his view. Non-elected is elected by the elected too. PM is elected and he has to select his team.
He held for example an expert of specific field is not available in parliament like the one who is available from outside then why he should not be included to get the job done. I see no difference in government in this respect. It is evident decisions have to be taken by PM and his opinion is final no matter the proposal comes from elected or non-elected.
Citing to construction of temple in Islamabad he said the Ulema had raised question on the utilization of official funds in their reservations received in ministry of religious affairs but no objection was raised on the construction of temple. Land was allotted in 2017 for construction of temple. Upon it Punchait committee of Hindu community in Islamabad and minority MNA had contacted us and asked for funds.
“ We told them we have no funds and we provide funds only for renovation and decoration. We have allocated no funds for raising any new building with reference to minorities and even for the construction of mosques”, he stated.
He underlined their application was sent to PM but no headway was made in this regard. Neither the funds were approved nor any approval had come from PM house. But the people started raising hue and cry here.
He remarked Hindu community had started some construction work out of their own resources and started laying foundations. There was no government funds included therein.
