Traders across the country have given the government a July 31 deadline to close business and resolve demands.

The All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran held a protest rally in Islamabad.

The traders had announced to march from Islamabad to the Prime Minister’s House in support of their demands. When the traders from other cities reached Zero Point, the police stopped them from entering Islamabad. However, after negotiations, the protesters were allowed to move in cars instead of marching on foot.

Demonstrators continued to protest by blowing trumpets and car horns, demanding that restaurants, schools, hotels and wedding halls across the country be allowed to open immediately and that all businesses be allowed to remain open until 10 p.m.

Addressing the rally, President All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran Ajmal Baloch said that our way was blocked and protesters from Balochistan and Sindh were not allowed to enter Islamabad. If Imran Khan could go before the parliament then why the traders were stopped?

He demanded that hotels, schools, parlors, wedding halls be allowed to open, lockdown holiday be lifted and decision to reopen shops by 10 pm be reversed.

Ajmal Baloch said that if 50 people can travel in a bus then why can’t 100 people sit in the wedding hall? Merchants should be given interest free loans so that they can get relief.

The President of All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran said that if our demands were not met by July 31, the ruling runaway movement would be launched.
