One person died and seven others were injured after a blast occurred in the city’s Turbat Bazaar area on Tuesday morning.
According to the police in the area, the explosion occurred in the Turbat Bazaar area of Quetta, the provincial capital of the country’s southwestern Balochistan province.
The blast occurred near a car and the vehicle caught fire after the explosion, police officials told media, adding that the window panes of nearby buildings were also shattered due to the impact of the blast.
Security forces condoned off the area and kicked off a search operation. The nature of the explosion has not been officially confirmed yet.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
