Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on 1st August : Mufti Muneeb
The moon of Dhuʻl-Hijjah has not been seen across the country, after which it has been decided that Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on August 1st.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman Central Rout-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan, while talking to media said that Eid-ul-Adha’s moon has not been seen in the whole country, after which the first Dhuʻl-Hijjah will be on July 23rd while Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Saturday, August 1st.
Earlier, no evidence of sighting of Dhuʻl-Hijjah‘s moon was received in Lahore and Quetta after which the zonal committees informed the Central Rout-e-Hilal Committee.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry had said that the moon would be visible in Karachi and its environs today.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry tweeted on a social networking site that the moon of Dhuʻl-Hijjah 1441 AH has been born, the moon was born at 10:33 pm.
