Country Facing Energy Mix due to Ill-Conceived Policies of Past: Omar Ayub

ISLAMABAD, July 29 (Online Int’l): Minister for Energy Omar Ayub has said the country is facing ab energy mix due to the ill-conceived policies of previous governments.
“We are facing an energy mix due to the wrong polices of erstwhile governments. We are taking such steps that electricity will be provided to the consumers at better rates”, he said while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Electric Charging station here Wednesday.
He vowed to put a leash on environmental pollution in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision. Pakistan is making a headway in the energy sector on a fast track basis. The steps taken for supply of fuel on modern lines in the country are highly laudable. The smart lockdown proved the best strategy. The equipment required to contain the corona virus was prepared during the corona situation.
He went on to say that we are providing 850 megawatt to K-Electric as against the agreement of 650 megawatt. K-Electric tariff is lower than other parts of the country. We are taking all possible steps for the consumers of Karachi.
