TOKYO: A bomb blast at a restaurant in the Japanese city Koryama has killed at least one person, injured 17 others and caused loss, officials say.
According to rescue officials, the blast also damaged several houses near the restaurant, rescue officials said the injured have been shifted to a hospital where they are being treated.
Fire brigade officials said six propane gas balloons were placed in the restaurant and the accident was caused by a gas leak in them.
Police say the restaurant has been closed since April this year due to the coronavirus and reopened last week.
