ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Prime Minister Imran Khan. Turkish President congratulates Imran Khan on Eid. The two leaders extended best wishes to the people on the occasion of Eid.

According to sources, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan and the two leaders discussed important regional issues. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the support of the Turkish President for the Kashmir cause. The Turkish President expressed his determination to continue supporting Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. The two leaders decided to remain in touch on issues of common interest.

Imran Khan congratulated the Turkish President on the reopening of the Aya Sofia Mosque and said that millions of Pakistanis watched the scenes of the mosque on TV. The Prime Minister praised Erdogan’s efforts to deal with Covid-19.

The Prime Minister thanked the Turkish President for providing assistance to various countries, including Pakistan, and the two leaders discussed economic development and saving human lives.

Pakistan and Turkey agreed on joint efforts on medicine development. The Prime Minister said that Pak-Turkish strategic relations and mutual trust were essential.
