First female Regional Secretary in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh, 11th August 2020: The journey of change and the process of integrating women into the mainstream in Saudi Arabia continues. The first female Regional Secretary in Saudi Arabia has been appointed.
According to Baaghi TV, the Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia has approved the appointment of a woman as Secretary for the Tabuk area. This is the first time a woman has been appointed to such an important post in a governorate in the country.

According to the Arab website Al-Arabiya.net, the Interior Minister on Monday appointed Dr. Khulood Al-Khamis as the Secretary-General of the Tabuk region. She is the first woman to hold this position.
After being appointed Secretary-General of the Tabuk Region, Dr. Khulood met with the Governor of Tabuk, Prince Fahad bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz. Prince Fahad bin Sultan congratulated Dr. Khulood on her appointment to this important post and appreciated her services to the country regarding women.

Dr. Khulood Al-Khamis said that she is fortunate to have been appointed Secretary-General of the Tabuk area. She said that her appointment to the post by Prince Fahad bin Sultan was not surprising. Prince Fahad and the leadership of the kingdom are committed to empowering women as much as possible.
Talking about her future plans, she said that she would do her best for the development of the Tabuk area.
