According to the reports, railway administration has decided to change the routes of some trains from August 17.
According to the details, the route change trains include Green Line (5UP / 6DN), Allama Iqbal Express (9UP / 10DN), Sir Syed Express (35UP / 36DN), Karakoram Express (41UP / 42DN). These trains will reach Karachi via Jahanian, Lodhran, Rohri, Tando Adam and Hyderabad instead of Multan.
The Green Line (5UP) running on August 17 will leave Karachi Cantt at 9 pm and reach Khanpur, Khanewal and Lahore. It will reach Margalla railway station at 9.15 pm every night. Similarly, Green Line (6DN) will leave Margalla at 3 pm and reach Karachi Cantt at 3.15 pm the next day via Lala Musa, Lahore, Khanewal, Khanpur, Rohri and Hyderabad.
The Allama Iqbal Express (9UP) will leave Karachi Cantt at 2 pm and reach Hyderabad via Ghotgi, Lodhran, Sahiwal, Lahore and reach Sialkot at 2.15 pm the next day. Similarly, Allama Iqbal Express (10DN) will leave Sialkot at 8 am and reach Karachi Cantt via Lahore, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Khanpur, Rohri and Nawabshah at 7:55 am the next day. The Sir Syed Express (35UP) will leave Karachi Cantt at 8.30 pm and reach Rawalpindi railway station at 8 pm the next day via Tando Adam, Khanpur, Khanewal and Faisalabad. Similarly, Sir Syed Express (36DN) will leave Rawalpindi at 10 am and reach Karachi Cantt Railway Station at 9 am the next day via Lala Musa, Faisalabad, Khanewal, Bahawalpur and Hyderabad. The Karakoram Express (41UP / 42DN) will complete its return journey on the same route.
