4 including children die in roof caves due to rain

LAHORE, August 27 (Online): 4 persons including children have died as roof collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Lahore.

According to media reports the roof of a 2 marla single storey house collapsed in Barkat Town suburban area of Provincial Capital Lahore, the house is situated along main GT road.

The eyewitnesses said the wall of muddy house collapsed due to standing water in Lahore, after which the roof fell to the ground.

Rain thundershowers with gusty winds expected

The Rescue officials said that the husband, wife and 2 children died in the incident. The victims have been identified as 35 years old Ali, 32 years old Farzana, 4 years old Aiman Ali and 7 years old Islam Ali. The dead bodies has been shifted to Tehsil Shahdara Hospital.

On the other hand 4 children were swept away near Nala Daik in Zafarwal area of Sialkot. 3 children have been rescued, whereas the search of 1 child is still in process.
