Karachi, 27th August: Shaniera Akram, wife of former cricket captain Wasim Akram and a social activist, has spoken against a recent incident in Karachi.

According to the report of Bagahi TV, Shaniera Akram lamented the fact that giraffes were kept at home in the Defense area of Karachi and said that she was saddened to see such a situation.

Akram took to her Twitter account and wrote, “I am heartbroken to see such a situation in Karachi, it is unbearable for such a thing to happen in a city like Karachi.”

In another tweet, she wrote, “Are you kidding me? The rich have no right to do whatever they want. It is not right to keep wild animals in the house just for your own pleasure.”

“This is not the way wild animals live,” he said.

Reportedly, a citizen of Karachi Defence area has raised a giraffe at home, the video of which has been going viral amid the Karachi rain catastrophe.

Javed Mehr, conservator of the wildlife department, while talking to the media, said that seven months ago, the owner was instructed not to keep the giraffe in the residential area, the giraffe was instructed to be kept at the farmhouse.
