Islamabad September 23 (Online): A sub-committee of the National Assembly on Cabinet Secretariat on Wednesday discussed alleged disparities surfaced in the hiring process of the National Testing Services (NTS) company.
The sub-committee meeting was held in the chair of Convener Rana Irdat Sharif at the Parliament House. The meeting sought reply from NTS company CEO over alleged disparities held in the hiring process in Upper Dir and FIR registered against the NTS management.
The CEO informed the committee that the FIR wasn’t registered. Responding to the CEO, the Convener said if the FIR didn’t register yet but still there is time it can be registered now.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) submitted a detailed investigation report on the matter in the sub-committee meeting.
It is to mention here that NTS management is held responsible for all the disparities in the FIR. The meeting observed that the matter lies in criminal negligence, adding that such matters happened due to the NTS management’s irresponsibility and neglecting attitude.
Additional Director FIA said that a case will be registered against NTS management for their alleged involvement in corrupt practices. The committee member Mohsin Dawar said there was not a single paper last year which wasn’t leaked, asking who established this company?
HEC responded that this company was established by COMSATS.
The additional secretary Establishment Division informed the meeting that the Establishment Division was directed to regulate private sector companies, adding that NTS Company has always established its repute as a private sector company.
The Convener said to regularize this company FPSC should be given the role as regulator. He said HEC can also be given a role to regulate such companies.
The concern authorities were asked to submit their recommendations in the next meeting.
