NEW DELHI: Blasts rocked India, killing at least 16 people, according to reports. A fire broke out at a cracker factory in India, killing 16 people and injuring several others.
According to a report of a foreign news agency, a firecracker factory in the Indian city of Chennai suddenly caught fire due to which 11 people were burnt to death. Medical aid is being provided to other victims.
Police and rescue personnel are continuing the operation at the scene. The investigation team is trying to find out the real cause of the fire.
Firecrackers were made in the factory, so it is said that the cause of the fire may have been flammable substances.
The fire at the factory was brought under control by 10 fire brigade vehicles in three to four hours.
