A NAB Barrister kills neighbour’s dog mercilessly

Lahore, 3rd January: A shocking case of animal cruelty and blatant murder has surfaced on social media.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, a self-proclaimed NAB barrister in Lahore has carried out a merciless act of killing a neighbour’s pet dog.

As per reports gathered from a complaint filed by a resident in DHA Lahore, on New Year’s Eve, a pit bull dog was shot 3 times by a rifle of a person named Ahmed Umar Saqib.

The complainant has filed that the culprit, who was their neighbour claimed to be a barrister in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), had brutally murdered their pet dog without any reason.

The woman has used her Facebook account to raise her voice against such a brutal activity and wants the culprit to be punished as per law.

The girl named Aleena Raheel has reported that their family dog ‘Chuck’ was shot thrice from back by a rifle and was mercilessly left in extremely cold weather.

She said that their dog was killed for no obvious reason by the so-called barrister who alleged that the dog was dangerous and banned in the United States.

However, the woman claims that their dog, who was like a baby to them was docile and co-inhabited with their pet cat and her multiple kittens for 9 years.

A case was filed against the person and on interrogation, he said that he killed the dog in order to protect her 4-year-old daughter. However, upon investigation, it was revealed that he had no daughter.

Later police also found out that the rifle with which he shot the dog was unlicensed.

He also went on to harass the women of the house telling them that he is a barrister and can not be touched in any way.

He used his power to get off scot-free from the charges and the justice system. Being a barrister doesn’t mean that he can be above the law.

Are these the kind of lawyers that our country needs who find thrill in shooting animals for no reason?

Today he murdered an animal, tomorrow he might go after a child if left unchecked. He needs to be punished to the full extent of the law.

The self-acclaimed barrister, Ahmed Umar Saqib’s licence to practise law must be cancelled and he needs to be jailed for two years as per sec 429 PPC and as per 1969 Ordinance for using an unlicensed weapon.
