A special branch police officer working for RAW has been arrested
Karachi, 16th April: A special branch police officer working for RAW has been arrested in Karachi, according to Baaghi TV.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Counter-Terrorism Wing has arrested a Special Branch Police officer active in the RAW network while conducting an operation against a foreign secret network in Karachi.
According to Federal Investigation Agency officials, Special Branch Police Officer ASI Musawar Naqvi is a key member of RAW’s sleeper cell.
A Grade 17 government employee working for RAW arrested
The arrested accused was on duty in the surveillance unit at Karachi Airport. FIA officials claimed that the arrested accused was involved. The accused belongs to MQM from London, an ASI of Karachi police has already been arrested while 6 alleged accused of Indian intelligence agency RAW have already been arrested, JIT is investigating the arrested accused.
According to FIA officials, the arrested accused was recruited in Sindh Police in 1991. Money was provided to the accused on the instructions of Mahmood Siddiqui. The arrested accused had also gone to India in 2008 for RAW network training.
FIA officials say the suspect also facilitated the movement of comrades at the airport and has been involved in targeted killings and terrorist activities.
It may be recalled that an ASI of Karachi police working for Indian intelligence agency RAW was arrested last month. Police said that ASI Shehzad Pervez was stationed at Shahra-e-Faisal police station and the accused was provided a huge amount of money by Mahmood Siddiqui group. The arrested policeman is involved in terrorist activities.
